First Appointment
When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms that will allow us to begin your dental treatment. We will ask you to fill out several forms that will get you acquainted with our office.
Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. Oral hygiene instructions will be provided along with suggestions to help you care for your teeth. In most cases, we will also clean your teeth on this visit.
Digital X-rays
We require new patients to have a recent Panorex or Full mouth series of x-rays. On the initial visit we will take a digital full mouth series of x-rays if you do not have current x-rays. Digital radiography is 90 percent safer for patients than traditional X-rays. Developing and film storage aren’t required, so digital X-rays are also environmentally friendly.
Photographs
Finally, photographs are made of your teeth and face. At this point, you will be ready to smile – your diagnostic records visit will be complete.
Consultation Appointment
After your records are assembled and measurements analyzed, Dr. Colkmire established a treatment plan especially for you. At the consultation appointment you will be able to see your records. Dr. Colkmire and our Patient Coordinator will share with you our findings and our recommendations.
